To get to St Denys, Southampton, Hampshire, postcode area SO17 2JN.
If coming from the north M3, A31 then the M27 goes around Southampton and you need the East going lane for East Southampton ( but as lanes cross over it is apparently the opposite way round at the dividing point ) . From junction 5 on the M27 take the A335 (sometimes marked A3035) , Stoneham Way , towards Southampton City Centre. After about 1.5 miles along this urban clearway (Thomas Lewis Way marked Thomas on the map below) after a number of minor traffic light junctions keeping the railway (marked black/white dashes ) immediately to your left all the way, there is a major traffic light junction. Main roads are marked as yellow colour, traffic lights marked blue dots, route marked with black dots. Veer to the left at the sign saying ST DENYS and BITTERNE. Go over the railway and at the fourth junction turn right,(traffic lights) this is Priory Road, don't cross the river, continue under the railway bridge and Ivy Rd (address 66 marked blue O ) is situated midway between two pubs the Junction Inn (marked J) and the Bridge Inn (marked B). There is no vehicle access now through the point marked X.
