I would be interested in establishing mutual exchange look-ups with people in the Norfolk and Kent areas familiar with their own county's archives. That is I look up material of interest in their studies but out of area in Hampshire in return timewise for them looking up material for me in Norfolk or Kent.

Hint for decoding some of the returned results on the 1901 census online. Go into source code and the hex number string after "person&key=" and the final sets of numbers that match , except for last number or two , relate to the same census record, the final digit or two varying with the position in that record , ie from"Head" down to youngest roughly. Anyone know how to translate any of the other numbers to folio & page number ?
Anyone using Firefox browser and http://www.historicaldirectories.org/ where the "frame advance" by number facility is corrupted go to the URL detail window and change the number/letter before .tif

Some examples of commissions I have completed for people around the world.

Obtaining details of the court case in 1827 that resulted in someone's ancestor being transported to Australia and then some family history relating to Overton ,Hampshire.
Establishing the best fit explanation behind why dozens of American Servicemen's names should be scratched on a wall in Southampton. This is written up on Southampton Graffiti
Establishing from evidence of heirloom spoons the nature of a families residence and business in Southampton 1860s to 1890s.
Discovering the recorded birth of an ancestor's twin in Southampton in the 1860s explaining a mystery in their family history.
Establishing from the vaguely remembered name and address ,details of a lost friend of someone in Portsmouth in 1950s.
From poorly remembered date and nickname establishing full details of someone's murder in Southampton in 1970s
Establishing the names and addresses of a family in Southampton and South Hampshire from 1930s to 1986.
Gaining a substantiated explanation of why there is a load of carved brick graffiti relating to Canadian scouts on a house in Southampton
Transcribing from the Catherine House Index all indexed births with rare surname born in England 1890 to 1926.
Establishing the identity of an English town and road on a victorian glass negative from a name associated with the slide - it turned out to be Wimborne ,Dorset
 'Titanic' postcard
Exposing what purported to be a postcard from the Titanic before sailing on to its doom.
Showing detail from two areas of the card.
The address on the card, supposedly the mother of a Southampton crewman was bogus. The cancellation font looks wrong for 1912 and then the vast majority were roundels. The use of a time-stamp on a cancellation in 1912 was technically possible but very unlikely but further philatelic enquiries would have to establish that. I could not view the original under a microscope to check on the 'ink' deposition but the main evidence was :-
The cancellation mark goes right up to and 'inside' the perforated edges of the stamp, see the 'O' of Southport in the top left hand corner and the upper line in the top right corner . I posited the 'ink' was pulled through from the picture side by the 5-6,000 volt transfer voltage of an old style, straight pass, laser printer. Rather than pushed by rubber stamp from the address side which always leaves a gap surounding the stamp because of the thickness of the stamp. Check yourself by looking at any current modern stamped and cancelled envelope, using inked stamp rather than ink-jet. Note this was a very light 'cancellation' - a heavily inked genuine cancellation will easily splurge and cary into this 'guard band' around a stamp.

To help anyone else , from the stonework on the small church near me in Southampton. Foundation stone of 1883 laid by an Edwin Jones,JP presumably of local department store fame and originally Primitive Methodist between Ivy Rd and Priory Rd. 1935 an extension built , inscription St Denys Methodist Church School Hall. For decades now its been happy-clappy New Testament Church of God Inc.
